Park and Ride from Olympic College at 16th and Warren Lot S-4. $2 each way. The Diamond Parking locations are donating $1 of the daily paid fee to the Blackberry Festival. There are over 2,000 downtown parking spaces available on the street or in public pay lots.
The Berry Central booth, located on the boardwalk, is more than just an information booth, it’s a place to buy ‘berry’ good merchandise—the new 2014 poster t-shirts, the “I Was Berried” T-shirt for toddlers, children and adults and always the purple and lime signature Blackberry Festival clothing. In addition to clothing, there are buttons, magnets, bag clips, Blackberry Posters, wine glasses, tote bags and this year’s addition of a new stuffed toy Blackberry mascot!
Wine, Wine, Wine! Last year we introduced a new Blackberry Dessert Wine and, although we had only a few cases to test to see if people liked it, it sold out in just a few hours. Needless to say, we are ordering many more cases for our 25th year! So, in addition to our regular delicious Blackberry Wine, we now are including our rich and decadent Dessert Wine! The booth is located to the right as you enter the boardwalk from 2nd Street. Tastes will be available for those 21 years and older for 25 cents each. All the proceeds from the wine, go to the Rotary Foundation and back into the community.
Cloverleaf Sports Bar & Grill will again be the sponsor for the beer garden and they have added some blackberry favorites and rumor is there will be some Oyster Shooters! The beer garden is located on the viewing platform—great view of the marina and stage.
Dogs and other domestic pets are not allowed on the Louis Mentor Boardwalk during the Blackberry Festival. Please leave pets at home while attending the Blackberry Festival. This regulation is in place to protect the health and safety of your pet and festival attendees. A crowded Boardwalk is a difficult atmosphere for a dog to navigate. Many people fix their gaze at eye level to take in the Festival and run the risk of bumping into or inadvertently stepping on your pet. Pet accidents on the Boardwalk can create unsanitary conditions in proximity to food vendors. Questions? Contact Bremerton Parks and Recreation at 473-5305.
