Directions & Transportation

From Sea-Tac International Airport

  • Take Interstate 5 south toward Tacoma.
  • Take the Highway 16/Bremerton exit off I-5.
  • Continue on Highway 16 across the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. You will come to the communities of Gig Harbor, Port Orchard and Gorst in that order.
  • After looping through Gorst, you will meet the interchange where Highway 16 becomes Highway 3. Continue straight and follow the signs to Downtown.

From Southern Washington/Oregon

  • Take Interstate 5 north toward Tacoma.
  • Take the Highway 16/Bremerton exit off I-5.
  • Continue on Highway 16 across the Narrows Bridge. You will come to the communities of Gig Harbor, Port Orchard and Gorst in that order.
  • After looping through Gorst, you will meet the interchange where Highway 16 becomes Highway 3. Continue straight and follow the signs to Downtown.

Park & Ride
Park & Ride from Olympic College G-1 Parking Lot at 16th and Warren Ave. takes you to the Upper deck of Transportation Center. $2 each way. Take elevator or steps down to the Festival.

Port Orchard via Foot Ferry
Note: The Kitsap Transit foot ferry between Bremerton and Port Orchard has extended summer weekend hours! The ferry departs every half-hour from Port Orchard and every quarter hour from Bremerton. Hours of operation during the festival are:

  • Saturday 8:30am - 8:45pm
  • Sunday 9:00am - 8:00pm
  • Monday 10:00am - 6:00pm

Additional Info Regarding Parking

If you wish to park close to the Blackberry Festival activities in the downtown area, you will be happy to know that $1.00 of your paid parking fee will be donated to the Blackberry Festival. Diamond Parking, Inc. and their owners have contributed to the downtown festivities.

Over 2,000 downtown parking spaces are available on the street or in public pay lots. In most cases, a $1.00 donation will be given to the Blackberry Festival with your paid parking fee. But, there is no admission charge to get into the festival or to hear the entertainment either on the Main Stage or the Children’s Area on 2nd Street between Washington & Pacific. Thanks to the sponsorship of The City of Bremerton, The City of Port Orchard and the Port of Bremerton, the Bremerton/Port Orchard Foot Ferry runs begin each day of the festival at 10am and the last run from Bremerton is 8pm on Saturday, 7pm on Sunday and 6pm on Monday. The ferry runs every half hour on the whole and half hour from the Port Orchard side and on the quarter hour from the Bremerton side. $2 each way.

Around the Sound Transportation is providing park and ride service from Olympic College at 16th and Warren Ave. at lot G-1 for $2 roundtrip during festival hours.
